An evening with our seminarians, inside five of the great French Gothic cathedrals.
A few years ago, the newly ordained Fr. Drew Navarro, then a seminarian for the Diocese of Raleigh, began a quiet tradition here at the seminary. Several times in the academic year our men gather to watch a film together, not for entertainment alone, but for the way a good film can draw the soul toward what is true, good, and beautiful.
This year we are doing something really special, and we would like you to be part of it.

The film
Bishop Robert Barron's new documentary, Heaven in Stone and Glass , is Word on Fire's first theatrical release. It takes the viewer inside five of the great French Gothic cathedrals: Notre-Dame, Chartres, Reims, Amiens, and Saint-Denis. It begins in the aftermath of the 2019 fire at Notre-Dame and moves through centuries of Scripture, philosophy, and stone to show how these buildings still preach.
“These cathedrals still have something to say to our culture,” Bishop Barron has said of the film, and his hope is that audiences leave with renewed wonder, not only at the buildings themselves but at the God who inspired them.
If you are near the seminary, please come with us. Seminarians, priests, sisters, faculty, and their families will all be there.
